Zac and Alana’s Fleurieu Wedding fell victim to the dreaded C word. They took a step back, reevaluated what was important in the face of a worldwide pandemic and revised their plans. The end result was an authentic party perched on top of the hillside in the backroads of Middleton.
They took a VERY big risk holding their entire celebrations on the hillside in the midst of Winter 2021. However, they were rewarded with chilly conditions, but beautiful light the whole day. We even got rainbows!! This party was going ahead without hesitation and the couple embraced the potential hurdles with such positivity.
There was no formal bridal party. Instead this couple chose to surround themselves with family and friends during the preparations. The mood was informal and relaxed as was the Ceremony. Zac’s Aunty Sandra officiated their vows against a stunning backdrop, whilst Alana’s little brother played ring bearer.
At the conclusion of the Ceremony, we ventured a little way from the guests to capture portraits before entering the marquee. Guests were well fed with paella and pizza thanks to The Dough Co. They were also entertained by a myriad of speeches followed by dance floor antics.
This wedding is the perfect example of how COVID has a silver lining. Restrictions and other hurdles may have delayed this union, but nothing was ever going to stop it.
